The Surgery

I have had 2 weight loss surgeries (WLS).  The first was a laproscopic gastric band, which I had to have repaired, and then removed (so 3 seperate surgeries).

My last surgery was a Roux-en Y gastric bypass.  This is the 'gold standard' in WLS and is more common in America.  Australia tends to prefer the Lap-Band or a Gastric Sleeve.  The Gastric Bypass is the most extreme of the WLS.
